2016 has been quite a good competition year for me what with various images doing well in the Scottish Nature Photography Awards, the Food Photographer of the Year (an odd one I know) and the Underwater Photographer of the Year.

However, the other day I found out I was recently selected as overall winner of British Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2016 with my photo of a lion’s mane jelly fish (taken whilst working at St Kilda). All I can say is it’s online drugstore no prescription really a surprise and honour to be selected among so many high quality entries.

The image was also selected as winner of the Coast & Marine category.

Not only that, I also had two images Highly Commended in the same category, also taken on the same survey trip.

And just to top it off I had this image of a gannet mother and chick, taken at North Rona, selected for the BWPA book.

  1. Congratulations! Fantastic! I come from a family of photographers. I know how hard you work ( and play) and I know how much your friends and family miss you while your gone, and also the risks you take sometimes to get those beautiful shots. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! 💕
